Bejeweling The Inner You, For The Outer World... All Hand-Created By Designer Lily Morda In Our Tuscany Studio.
Tim James has been working with glass since 2002 and teaching glass bead making since 2005. His client list includes Chanel, Ferragamo and Escada, although his favorite client is still jewelry-designer wife Lily.
This amazingly versatile product can be twisted, knotted and pulled into just about any shape. Weave wire into it, attach crystals, sew beads onto it… you can even needle-felt it with yarn! Think of the prospects for jewelry design, costume making, scrap booking, card making, polymer clay projects (bake it right in!)… The possibilities are truly endless!
Water proof / Heat Resistant / Nickel Free. Our ribbon has a light, fabric-like texture and is comfortable to wear against one’s neck. Unlike heavier textured products made elsewhere, the Italian wire mesh ribbon that we carry does not feel scratchy against the skin. It can be used as a ribbon to support a pendant, as a tube with beads or other cords carefully inserted inside it or it can be fluffed out to nearly 3 times its original size, creating beautiful ruffles, swirls and waves which are especially useful in costume design.
Our silk and leather cord accompany the tubular mesh ribbon perfectly: Slip it inside the ribbon to create a brand new shade and color! And our high quality findings are just what you need to finish off your creations beautifully!
We offer seasonal courses in the lovely part of Italy known as La Versilia, near the Tuscan coast. We specialize in glass bead making (lampwork) and beading/jewelry design courses for private individuals or small groups. Or, you can try one of our Combo Bead Making/Jewelry Design courses where you will make unique designer jewelry pieces using the glass beads that you created in class.
